An Exploratory Concept

Independent living within a natural system

This is an early exploration of a small permaculture-based living model focused on reducing dependency, growing food locally, and creating a more grounded way of life.

A–G Areas

The land is structured as a simple, integrated system based on permaculture principles.

Each area serves a specific function, from private living spaces to water, food, and natural regeneration, while remaining connected as part of a larger ecological whole.

The intention is not complexity, but balance: a layout where essential needs are met through the land itself, with minimal dependency and optional shared use. This layout is not final, it is a working concept, intended to illustrate how such a system could function if developed.

C

Shared Growing Area

~ 800 m² (32 Perches)

Why This Exists

After years of building, working, and chasing growth, many of us are starting to ask a different question:

Is there a better way to live?

A–G Land System

Seven integrated zones, each designed with purpose and care.

A

Entrance & Parking

Simple gated entry with visitor area and parking for 4–6 vehicles.

B

Private Plots

6–8 independent plots, each with space for a home, garden, and food forest.

C

Shared Growing

Optional communal herbs, vegetables, greenhouse, and small nursery.

D

Water System

Rainwater pond, swales, aquatic plants — water guided through the land.

E

Energy & Resources

Solar array, battery storage, tool shed, composting, and greywater reuse.

F

Forest Buffer

Native trees for privacy, shade, cooling, and biodiversity.

G

Quiet / Open Space

Meadow, walking paths, seating — for meditation, reading, or gathering.

How One Plot Works

Each individual plot is designed for independence.

Space for a small home

Personal food growing area

Rainwater harvesting

Solar-ready setup

Permaculture Principles

Work with nature

Not against it.

Catch & store

Water and energy.

Produce no waste

Everything cycles back.

Self-sustaining

Systems that maintain themselves.

My Bio

I turn 40 this year(2026), and after years of working in business and marketing, I’ve started to question the kind of life I want to build going forward.

Good Earth comes from that shift, an interest in simpler, more independent living, and a curiosity about whether a small, permaculture-based model could be made real.

I’ve already started exploring this on a small scale by developing a Miyawaki-style food forest in my garden space in Pannipitiya, Sri Lanka.

This is not something I have done before. It’s something I want to explore, carefully, and with the right people.

This is an early-stage exploration.
We're not selling anything, we're simply looking for people who genuinely align with this way of living.
